There were all kinds of excuses that Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer could give for the inconsistent play of his defense the past couple of weeks, from injuries to slow-learning backup linebackers to — Saturday night at Indiana — the bus trip to Bloomington and lateness of the game.
“However, we’re not into that and won’t accept that here,” Urban Meyer said today.
“The good thing is when you coach a team that’s 7-0 you have their attention,” he said. “The will is there. The want is there. We just need to do a better job.”
