The 2012 AIA Columbus design awards this year pointed to several buildings that connected well with their environments.
“Many of the best projects were about creating architecture that works within a specific context,” said Julie Snow, head juror of the five-member panel that evaluated the 42 entries from local architects.
“It’s looking at design in a way that connects the building with the community around it.”
