Stationary dichroic-glass fins attached to the South Campus Central Chiller Plant reflect and cast colors on the new OSU building, which was built to the west of the College of Pharmacy. The daily light show changes depending on the sun’s angle and clouds; dichroic glass contains layers of metals and oxides that transmit and reflect different colors. The new plant cools water that flows between the plant and air-conditioning systems of the medical, research and academic buildings in the area.
