The “Occupy Columbus” tent, which has been ironically unoccupied for most of the several months it has stood on the sidewalk in front of the Ohio Statehouse, may finally have to leave the area.
About 30 supporters of Occupy Columbus showed up last night to see if the city would remove their tent from a Statehouse sidewalk after a midnight deadline. The order is part of a new city code regulating how long a noncommercial structure can be in a public right of way.
UPDATE: As of 8 a.m. this morning, the tent has been removed.
