Columbus library system will phase out daily fines
Library officials want books in patrons’ hands, and they’re willing to drop daily late fines to keep them there.
The Columbus Metropolitan Library board voted yesterday to do away with daily fines in favor of a single, one-time penalty for each overdue book, movie or music CD.
