Ready for football season?
Freshmen on the Ohio State football team will be — as soon as they lose their stripes.
First-year coach Urban Meyer has introduced his signature method of bypassing hazing and encouraging camaraderie among teammates: helmets adorned with a thin strip of black tape, which freshmen can have removed ceremoniously when their mentors (older teammates) decide they know what it means to be a Buckeye.
