The family that shreds together…

An annual survey of sports participation by the National Sporting Goods Association shows that people 35 and older made up 10.2 percent of the skateboarding population in 2011 — up from 6.4 percent a decade earlier.

Many of those older skaters are out there with their own kids, either passing on the skills they learned when they were young or learning how to skate along with their sons and daughters.
