After the last meals were served at The Clarmont on Sunday night, owner Thom Coffman informed the staff of the restaurant’s closing.

“There were a lot of hugs and teary eyes. We’ve been fortunate enough to have some very long-term employees, some for 30 years,” he said. “It’s very sad.”
