City fills Goodale Park pond →
The Goodale Park pond, which was drained early last year to install a fountain and sculpture of two elephants at the pond, is finally being filled again. City officials hope that it will stay filled this time — firefighters pumped more than 4 million gallons over three days in September and October, only to see the water disappear.

Three killed in Afghan attack were Franklin County... →
Three Ohio National Guard soldiers were killed Wednesday during an suicide bombing in northern Afghanistan. All three were from Franklin County, a source told The Dispatch. The three were members of the Guard’s 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, comprised of 2,500 troops from all over the state. The Ohio National Guard reported that other members of the brigade were critically wounded.
