MOUNT STERLING, Ohio — A village police officer shocked a 9-year-old boy with a Taser this week, prompting a shutdown of the entire force.
Long-embattled Police Chief Mike McCoy has been suspended, and officers who were being used on a part-time basis are no longer working, Council President Lowell Anderson said.

Columbus police say they have charged a local school bus driver with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and to the unruliness of a child after the driver instructed a girl to beat a 9-year-old boy — while the driver held his arms — on her school bus.
“I know it was wrong,” she told WBNS-10TV last night, but added that the boy who was hit was “just a typical bully.”
